If you have trouble controlling vehicle traffic through access control points, controlled exits or vehicles entering through gate exit lanes, look no further! PointGuard is an unattended single direction traffic controller.
Manufactured from durable 1/4” A-36 Steel, the APEX PointGuard will withstand the abuse of everyday operation. The PointGuard is a cost effective low security solution. Designed to inhibit aggressors from entering or leaving through unauthorized lanes, PointGuard can be installed quickly and effectively and can also be maintained at a relatively low cost compared to larger vehicle barriers. PointGuard is an excellent solution for rental car lots, parking garages and low security entries and exits.
Model 530
The Apex M530 is our fast operating drop arm barrier capable of stopping a 5,000lb vehicle traveling at 30 mph. Standard operating speed is 4 seconds in each direction; however faster speeds are obtainable.
The M530 is a surface mounted barrier that attaches to 9”-12” concrete pads or a single mono-cast pad depending on the site conditions. The M530 is available in clear opening sizes of 10-22ft, providing easy passage for snowplows, low clearance vehicles and buses. Both the drive housing and receiver are hot-dip galvanized to assure extended life to your investment. Each M530 comes equipped with a single directional yellow/red traffic light and solar LED flashing light bars on the arm for added visibility at night. Access control devices such as card readers, closing loops, keypads, IR devices, and push button panels are easily integrated into the M530.
Model 11
The Apex M11 is our mini-plate access control plate barrier. The M11 was crash tested using a 4,000lb vehicle traveling at 30 mph. The standard M11 is equipped with an integral traffic arm and traffic light to provide visible awareness of the barrier plate’s position.
The M11 is hot-dipped galvanized and the roadway side of the barrier plate is treated with anti-skid coating. The M11 is a surface mounted plate barrier that attaches to a 6” concrete pad. For cold climate application, embedded heat tape / snow melt systems are recommended and available. Access control devices such as card readers, closing loops, keypads, IR devices, and push button panels are easily integrated into the M11. Also available is the Apex M11-EUP plate barrier. The M11-EUP barrier is a wrong way one second emergency-deployed barrier. This barrier is installed with embedded ground loops that detect a vehicle attempting to exit a facility via an unauthorized lane and deploys the barrier in one second. The Apex M11 plate or the Apex 530 arm barrier is an economical way to provide legitimate security and access control to your facility.
